We liked everything at ullswater including breakfast and staff. Easy walk to the restaurant Westcliff Tapas. Perfect base for a weekend in Bournemouth.
I like it because it near to beach
Room don't have safty box
Great ocation, for what we paid we had really good value for money. Lovely clean room and bathroom. The breakfast was really nice, staff were prompt and the food hot. Space to safely park our car. We had a fire alarm and the hotel was evacuated, the staff promptness was very reassuring for our personal safety.
Comfy ensuite rooms with a good cooked English breakfast.
Not a lot of parking at the hotel and the on-street parking gets very crowded.
Neat and tidy hotel, friendly staff, decent breakfast
Cleaners / housekeeping very noisy in the mornings, which was annoying as we were working nights. ( had requested a quiet room on booking). Each morning made 3 attempts to get into room even though I asked not to be disturbed.
location of the otel was realy fine and room was clean
the position, for shops etc
the lift and fire doors
I came to bournemouth to meet friends who were attending unison conference for a few days break .
The location is good for Durley Chine beach
There were two coach loads of people who all wanted to have breakfast at the same time
My Wife and I needed a weekend break away everything about the hotel was superb food reception very helpfull checking in etc The weather had changed and was cold but our radiator in our room was turned off so I asked reception to turn it back on which is controlled in reception . Which was fine I think that secondary glazing would be ideal but that is only my opinion however our stay was great a very big thank you from mike & brenda waterlooville hampshire
Short walk to the cliffs and sea,Bournemouth gardens,Entertainments and shopping. The staff very helpful and friendly and a really good English Breakfast.
Plenty of room for all the guests, especially the dining area, lounge area including a licensed bar, a games room in the cellar and the food. Although the visit was out of season it was very comfortable, clean and staff were very friendly, as they had time to chat. It would be interesting in season. Everything was absolutely perfect for any lenght of stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in the better weather.
Nothing to complain about
Breakfast was well cooked and quickly served, Receptionist and waiting staff were efficient and friendly.
The decor was "Very tired", limited parking. The evening meal was expensive and very poor quality hence we only dined on the one occasion.
Fairly convenient position at a really competitive price.
Limited parking. Beginning to look a liitle tired.
Nothing. Very unfriendly staff. Made to feel very unwelcome.
This hotel was described as suitable for hen and stag parties. There was a group of 8 of us on a joint stag and hen party, and it was completely unsuitable. The majority of the guests were elderly and did not appreciate a group of younger people enjoying themselves. The rooms were extremely hot, and even though we turned off the radiators in our rooms, it was still unbearably hot, and so we had to open all the windows. The bar was geared towards older people wanting to watch their soap operas and so we felt extremely uncomfortable when we stopped in there for a drink, as the other guests kept complaining that we were too noisy. There was only one member of staff on duty most of the time, and he made us feel that he wished he was elsewhere. We did not spend the second night of our visit at this hotel, but got a refund and found a more suitable venue for our group.
